Kelly Chamberlin, Shyam Tallury, Gayle Volk This success story describes a multi-year study in which 208 peanut genotypes were screened for smut resistance. Eight of the screen accessions were shown to have resistance to peanut smut, a disease currently impacting the peanut industry in Argentina. This resistant germplasm can help protecting the future of peanut production in the United States, Argentina, and across the world.
