Charles Brummer, Deborah Samac This success story describes how wild alfalfa in the National Plant Germplasm System was identified as having a glandular haired trait that confers resistance to the devastating potato leafhopper. This germplasm was used to develop breeding lines and cultivars with PLH resistance.
